Is it a no brainer in the choice between a Tecno and and a Nokia phone?

You will get more bang for buck from tecno. What minimum specs are you looking for? Budget?

Just need a second phone that has 64gb on board memory just for a backup for my samsung Galaxy S8 edge. Nothing to fancy.

Why don't you just buy an OTG cable and large capacity flash drive?

You can use the flash like an SDcard
Edit: apologies. I didn't 'click' what you said initially. Have a look at the Xiaomi phones as well. I've got an entry level one with 16GB storage. Can't complain about it.
