Wouldn't have helped you in this case - I'm on 3G on two separate devices, and both of them have absolutely no connection (Cape Town - Claremont and Epping area or anywhere in between while I was driving to work).

Wow, thought it was only LTE. This is very bad.

Glad to see it's not JUST me, but cold comfort really. Buying 100mb daily CellC topups is gonna get expensive.

I've had no problems with connection, been online since yesterday.

Had a couple of emails bounce back though, but they're working fine now.

That's interesting do you have more info? Does it need a fixed line to work?

If you have ADSL and data with Telkom, you can apply for a free SIM. Very convenient and cheap.

With the Telkom Integrated Data service you will be able to access your Telkom Internet fixed data bundle from any mobile device, such as a WiFi router, Tablet or 3G USB modem, via a Telkom Internet SIM. This means that you will still be able to connect to the internet at home with your fixed Telkom Internet data when your DSL service is not working. You will also be able to use the Telkom Integrated Data service when you are on the move. Please note that your Telkom Internet SIM will only work on the Telkom 3G/LTE network.

I just wish I could get Telkom to sort my IDS out --- it has never worked for me.

Been battling for a year now ---- and cannot seem to get anyone in Telkom to get to the bottom of why it works so badly. The idea is absolutely brilliant.

Decided to work from home this morning.
As soon as I started, the connection dropped!

After half an hour of struggling with my phone as a hotspot, decided to come into the office.
Just as I get in, connection back up!

Damn you Telkom!
