So we have this new PA in the office....:( She coughs a lot and sounds like she is going to keel over any moment.... She told us on day1 that she got some parasite from when they were traveling abroad in November or so.

And the thing is she complains about how disgusting this parasite is/was all the time and she tells us of all the weird shyt that she coughs up....:sick: But she has yet to tell us what kind of parasite this is or if its contagious....:confused:(her philosophy was when asked is that if hubby hasnt got sick yet then why would we?)

Os me and the rest of the office got to thinking..... what if this thing is contagious????Cause we are all starting to feel kinda under the weather...:(

Do you know what kind of parasite this might be????!

Maybe it is just a story, have you considered TB. Terrible coughing is one of the symptoms, as well as rapid weight loss.

Nah its definitely not TB. She has this dry cough not a wet Cough.... and she's been working here for almost 3 weeks and none of us have lost wait or have had like night sweats type of symptoms.....

She sometimes coughs up stuff that looks like maggots.... YUCK!!!(luckily that hasnt happened here at work) :(

She should go and see a doctor, it can't (and won't) get better on its own.

If she delays seeing a doctor, it'll just get worse.

ur feeling under the weather because ur thinking about getting sick etc. If ur concerned speak to yours boss. If its as bad as it sounds, i would want to know what it was and if i could end up with it.

Symptoms seen with mild infestation include:

http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/stomach/ascariasis.html
Symptoms seen with mild infestation include
worms in stool
coughing up worms
loss of appetite
fever
wheezing

Contagiousness
Ascariasis is not spread directly from one person to another. To become infected, an individual has to consume the worm's eggs

Now i'm naar.....

Well they apparently went to Zanzibar and Maputo... so somewhere somehow she must have consumed something dodgy..... Allthough i dont think she got this in Zanzibar as my boss was also there in November and he's fine.

i just wish she would find another job already as she was fired last week.... and the boss was kind enough to tell her to stay and till she finds something else even though she was still on probation...
