Luno kills off Savings Wallet

Cryptocurrency exchange and custodial service provider Luno will discontinue its Savings Wallet functionality from tomorrow — 1 December 2022.

“Cryptocurrency held in a Savings Wallet will be transferred to primary wallets, and will continue to be stored safely and securely with Luno,” the company stated.

At its heart is reckless lending and acquisitions without due diligence (not to ignore the checks and balances). Any business can look attractive, but you don’t get to see their balance sheets (and those hard cash deals which are made ever more possible with crypto as long as you don’t know to whom the addresses belong and are interconnected to).

All these suddenly produced PoRs may look proper, but how much do these entities owe?

Crypto isn't dead; it is now under heavier scrutiny.

I feel like its gone from being the wild west of the financial sector to being more part of the greater financial system.
 
I just checked and found I have about R500 worth of BTC in my Luno wallet. Will leave it there, very high chance it will rebound at some point. Crypto "investors" aren't done scamming people.

I just logged in to my Luno app for the first time i think this year. My last transactions. LMFAO.
Will let it sit maybe its worth something again one day.

And to think I was questioning my sanity when buying this, as this was after the big crash from R6871 the previous year :(
