You guys remember the light field infinite focus camera that was announced earlier this year ? Well they have now released more info. It will be available early 2012 and will cost $399.

I'm still not sold on the tech though. Guess I will just have to wait and see.

I would love to get my hands on one of these It's just a whole new way of capturing light and processing it. A very novel and different approach to taking photos.

Given how deeply ingrained our idea of 'camera' is, it's going to be ..novel.. getting to grips with this thing's shape ..and method of taking pix too, for that matter.
