OK so my bro from the States is bringing me one, but i am not too sure if this notebook has a DVD ? I wasnt too keen on getting one but my wife is nagging my brains for one. Should i change this for a MacBook Pro ?

Any input/advise will be appreciated !

It has no DVD drive, if you want an equally light, durable quality laptop with a DVD writer - the Panasonic Let's Note range is your bet. 2 drawbacks. 1. They don't run OSX. 2. They're more expensive.

However, you can get any external USB or BD/DVD drive to work with the Air.

I would go with the 13.3" Pro. Its still quite light and durable. Go check them both out in store.

Ya get a 13" or a 15" Pro. The MacBook Pros all have the best quality displaysas well as being very thin and light and powerful. I would only get a Macbook Air if it had an SSD because the 1.8" HD is very slow. If you get a pro I recommend getting 4gb RAM. And if you can afford it get an Intel X-25 SSD. It makes everything basically instantaneous.

Yeah, altho the MBA is really thin & light, would take a 13" MBP over it any day of the week... I've worked on 2x MBA's before - both are really a lot slower than a normal MB or MBP - it's the 4200rpm hdd's in em... But if you can get one with a SSD... ANd the MBA external SuperDrive is something like $99?
