mail problems

Do not know if this is for this forum, but here goes.
Ever since changing from ISDN (other ISP's)to ADSL (Telkom as ISP) have had mail problems at two clients.

Problems are:
1. Undelivered mail.
2. Mail with attachments never reach destination and never reported.
3. mail from strange places never heard of claiming client sent them mail with virus.

These are the major issues.
Have used both smtp.saix.net and smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net - same issues.

Anybody have anything like this or any advice for a solution please?

We need more details. Are you providing email services to these clients? Are they people you are trying to send mail to?

When you say two clients, does that mean that others get the mail? If so, Telkom mail might be blocked because it is mistakenly concidered by some mail servers as a bad sender. There are plenty of info on this on this forum. Use the search function on the top right hand corner of this page. Please give more info... []

1. Mail could be rejected based on content, or some servers may not be accepting mail from smtp.saix.net
2. Peoples Anti-virus gateways/scanners being a little overzealous and discarding mails with certain types of attatchments silently
3. I wouldnt worry about those, its probably just one of the nice new viruses that spoofs mails based on the contents of other peoples address books.

a cpl pointers those servers are one and the same and BTW you cannot send mail from a ADSL IP to telkom internets mail servers [TI have blackholed ADSL IP's] you need to forward mail to TI via SAIX ...

please supply the info as requested above ...
