MAIL problems

Honestly, why can't I send mail. there should be no excuse for a smtp server not working. Other ISP's and knuckleheads can run them flawlessly, so why can't iburst.

Internet/ MSN/skype all fine. I can ping smtp.wbs.co.za, But I cant use it to send mail.

Anyone else haveing same problem as of about 3:30 pm

Just sent mail about 10min ago....all fine here.

I don't agree with the "there should be no excuse for a smtp server not working". Running the buggers for years proved there is lots of reasons. But when you, as an ISP, deny your client the right to use any SMTP besides your one, then yes, there is no excuse for that SMTP server not working
