The party is divided, with one camp favouring a return to its liberal roots and another backing a more inclusive approach that accommodates race in developing policy positions, most notably on the issue of redress.

There's already a party for that. It's called the ANC. Might have heard of it......

If Moenie wants to be the ANC, why not rather join them.

"We cannot contend ourselves with being the voice of minorities "

A: I've always understood that the DA stands for neither minority nor majority, but simply for responsible, transparent and capable governance. Was I wrong?

B: Are there any voices left for minorities (and everybody else - common ground)? Who should I vote for?

C: I'm sick of being talked about in terms of being a "minority". I'm a South African. Like me or leave me. I'm sorry. I do not want the DA to become one of those parties. If it does. Then nope.

Personally I think it’s a much needed split that needs to happen if the party is ever to challenge for controlling power.

They way I always saw it was that they were for governance and ethical leadership. The latter indirectly meaning they would support transformation (which has increasingly happen even under Zille) so of cause I found the abandonment to VF by voters hilarious because it shows what the objectives were of those.

The whole redress thing I hate to break it to people has to done.. if you don’t understand it then sadly you never will. You can try and pretend it’s all fine and dandy.. but then you better off in the US.. the only one of the British colonies who committed some the worst of atrocities in the middle of last century even and todate has refused to acknowledge it.

When traveling in Africa you realize how dumb Southern Africa is and how stupid people in SA are, particularly people clutching on to the past oppressive states. I’ll say it again.. the faster people self transform the better society will be but no.. refuse, paint everyone with same brush and then whine when the majority take what’s denied to them? Hah.. who is the low IQ populous in this country?

The DA still doesn't have an underlying ethic other than "not being the ANC" . They essentially ran on the policy of "The same ANC policies, just without the corruption of Jacob Zuma". Then CR came along and being a billionaire the masses though he's already so rich that he cannot be bought off like Zuma did and being a member of the ANC people thought he could deliver "The same ANC policies, just without the corruption of Jacob Zuma"

Unfortunately his henchmen here in Johannesburg cannot wait that long. They already throwing their white voters under the bus, like recently when a white women informed them of a broken water drain which has not been fixed for many years and Mashaba made her out an Apartheid beneficiary trying to overthrow the coalition party.

For such a party one cannot vote. They are basically sending you to hell and that with a smile on your face too. No thank you.
Slow down Lew, the stories are becoming too cool.

Ag my fok Marelize, are you now going to deny facts? What stories?

Did they not replace it after numerous media people started pointing out to Herman he is a hypocrite and John Steenhuizen had to intervene?

Was this also not the game your Moenie Maimane plays? Then the whiteys in the DA have to bail him out? Perhaps the DA desperately needs leadership, perhaps even Aunty Helen. It seems the IRR is right.

So yes, your Lew is actually right and you are wrong.
