Major DNS overhaul to hit the Internet

The current Domain Name System (DNS) is being overhauled next month, with workarounds for older technologies being removed to improve performance.

The DNS is essentially the phonebook of the Internet and is used to translate standard domain names like “www.mybroadband.co.za” to IP addresses.

So what does this mean for us personal domain owners, i.e. those of us who own a domain for personal use (customised email) and just have a basic static website?

I typed in my domain name and it said "minor errors detected". Will our hosts (Afrihost in my case) be doing something about it, or is it up to each domain owner?
