Telkom's major improvement in the race for best network

Telkom has improved its mobile network over the last 12 months and is catching up to its competitors in its bid to become the best network in South Africa.

Telkom placed third in the MyBroadband Insights Mobile Network Report over the last year and now has its sights set on the second position.

In my opinion Telkom should've been 2nd

Vodacom the past couple months are just useless

Had to get lawyers involved to cancel all my business contracts with them

Fortunately for me, the service was so bad across some of my offices, Vodacom admitted there were "problems"

Finally got rid of Vodacom and their contract jail for 2 years

Tool all our business accounts to Afrihost prepaid (MTN) a few years go.

We buy phones cash (usually R3000-R4000 Xiaomi Redmi Note) and can switch accounts on and off as required.

Saves us thousands per employee per year.

I don't see any improvements. Their customer service still up to s**t, and not a single person in Telkom who knows how to work with accounts and billing.

Just my own experience.

I would agree that at least everywhere I've been in CPT, my Telkom signal has been great and their pricing beats most of the rest.

I highly regret moving my prepaid Telkom sim to an FNB Connect contract.
Hardly any coverage in general and nothing at all with load shedding.
I ended up getting another Telkom prepaid sim as a backup.

Always had issues with their support but only when things are done online or via telephone.
Their in store consultants have been able to sort out all my issues.

There is not the slightest chance that I would ever make use of Telkom ever again after the very bad service that they gave me!

Just wish they would enable VoLTE by default on their SIMs, as it is impossible to get anyone in their call center to enable it, as they don't understand the request 90% of the time.

Most of my businesses and sites have limited options for internet

And I realized there is major difference between service and network service

I'd much rather use a provider with much better network service, such as reliability, speed and pricing

And Telkom proved to be better than MTN and Vodacom, Network related

I agree, their service department is useless, but they're doing something right network related and I'm happy with that

The rest I try to do online, cause most of the stuff you can do on the telkom dashboard online

I'm ONLY referring to the LTE network. I don't even have adsl, vdsl or fiber with Telkom

Still zero reception inside some malls or gym.

Or there is reception buts H+ which is useless and nothing works.
