What a greedy bastard. That is enough money to retire very comfortably on and never work a day in your life.

R47m is nothing in South Africa. Living costs are so high, you will p!ss through this money in no time and lose everything you have acquired in the process. Besides, he will see very little of that R47m. More than R45m will likely go towards those who financed his legal processes and by now that amount will be much higher.

The Rand is so weak, even converted to Dollars or Pounds, this money is nothing abroad either.

When the general public take Vodacom's side on a matter, you KNOW you're a dick.

His main problem is that he WAY overplayed his hand - if he'd taken one of the early offers he'd probably be sitting pretty, but now he's in such a huge legal hole, he has to try these stupid things.

They should offer to settle his legal costs if that’s the biggest issue right now.
Settlement + Legal costs = everybody wins.

I still hate Vodacom though
