Hi there, a couple of days ago, I posted and asked if there was an android phone avail for R1000 - R1400 and Igot a response was advised to get the
Samsung Galaxy Chat which Iam very happy with Ithink it is great for the money display res is kinda low but he display is bright enough
And looks decent ICS runs quite well on here and is smooth enough. I could go on.

Now. I am using.Wi Fi at the university, it is secured with a password and Iset it up
to with the Proxy settings as well. Now there is an added levl of verification, when open the native browser there is a pop up
It asks me for my student number and password. Once this is entered Ican browse and download via the browser.
The problem is no other apps have access to the internet. As they don'thave the option to ask for my username and password. So whatsapp, twitter
Etc. Is non functional.

Does anyone know if its possible or if there is an app which will allow me to insert my username and password
So that I that the phone can access the internet universaly?

I am at CPUT cape town campus.

Ask other students, many other should have Android phones and would have figured it out. It should work without you having to do anything else.

I would also like to find out. Seems a bit odd that the proxy will only work for the web browser and not for app....

At Stellenbosch University, it works just fine. Also via a login on a website, but other apps are allowed access.
