This just proves "Black Friday" has lost its meaning.
Selling old stock no one wants for dirt cheap.
Cheap? Not one of those items is priced for people like me.

He said old stock no one wants. Plus black Friday isn't really about getting rid of stock but to balance the books. When was Black Friday ever not about getting rid of the old stock? The only difference while in the US the discounts are real, here we apply a mark up first and then give you a discount, which is actually only 10-20% off the original price on the last season item.
Makro's official kryptonite.@Thor Keeping it real.![]()
I'm not sure about the printer but from the picture of the TV it looks like the Q60T which is R20995 at the Samsung Store. That printer is R500 more expensive than what I paid for it at Makro last year.
That TV is more expensive than what it is at the Samsung Store.

They'll think 2% off per day equals 60% off.Who knows, maybe Covid has made the retailers desperate enough and they will give us some real specials this year.
*looks at current specials
Nope, Black Friday specials are still only for suckers with more money than sense
Thought it was about getting out of the red and into the black...Black Friday is about clearing old stock to make room for new before the Christmas shopping starts

I saw that as well. However, FNB is dropping Makro from it's eBucks list end of the month, so I guess that's also the end of my Makro grocery shopping. So 10% back on anything I buy in the store that isn't on promotion?
It's for their own Mrewards linked to your Makro card. Unfortunately we already did all our monthly spend.I saw that as well. However, FNB is dropping Makro from it's eBucks list end of the month, so I guess that's also the end of my Makro grocery shopping.
