Makro owner's IT hiring spree takes the fight to Takealot

Makro and Game owner Massmart has provided details on its significant investments in ecommerce that helped it build out its online shopping offering to better compete with players like Takealot.

The company said some of the significant technology releases it delivered in 2022 include the revamped Game website, the standalone mobile Makro Shopping app, and the group's new advanced store employee fulfilment application, Global Integrated Fulfillment.

I'm loving shopping groceries on the Makro app. Very competitive prices when compared to my local Shoprite/Checkers shops.

Makro could have been such a great company, just a shame they are so fu**ing useless.

Wow they discovered agile in 2022:oops:
The guys on the floor have been scrumming counters, and bending the rules since forever.

Walk into any macro, see those 4 attendants talking loudly in electronics? That's a stand-up.

See the rotund lady walking with a kettle, deliverable...

Makro has been agile since day zero.

And at Makro, it's always day zero.

My first order off Takealot I had ordered the wrong product by mistake. They said no problem & sent a courier to come collect at their cost to exchange it for me.

My first online order at Makro was undelivered after two weeks & I was being given the runaround so much I eventually asked for the distribution warehouse address & drove there to fetch it myself.

Yeah, no, everyone deserves a second chance, except maybe for Makro.
