Communications minister fires two state-owned company board members

South Africa's Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Solly Malatsi, has announced the removal of two members from the board of Universal Services and Access Agency (Usaasa).

The members, Daphne Kula-Rantho, who was the chairperson, and Boitumelo Mabusela, have been removed following receiving remuneration outside of the state entity.
 
The Universal Service and Access Agency of South Africa (USAASA) is a State Owned Entity of government established through the Electronic Communications Act, No 36 of 2005, to ensure that "every man, woman and child whether living in the remote areas of the Kalahari or in urban areas of Gauteng can be able to connect, speak, explore and study using ICT's.

 
I think they supposed to provide DTTV decoders.

Basically jobs for ANC deployees.
Wow. An entire new entity with CEO, and board and CFO and whatever else for DTTV. So much for "vote to make a change".
