Malema was nominated to the list of ANC candidates earmarked for parliament, cabinet and provincial governments after the elections.

Thankfully he declined the nomination. Can you imagine if he was accepted

It seems a bit odd that the League issued a statement that he declined the nomination. Maybe a senior ANC NEC member convinced them to decline on his behaldf?
