It’s that time again when we choose our Mampara of the Year. Mugabe, Manto, Malema, Mbeki, Msholozi and Motlanthe ... it’s a strange coincidence, but almost all our candidates for Mampara of the Year start with an “M”.

But don’t be confused. They’re all unique individuals, and we’ve given our six finalists a brief profile to give them all a fair shot at the title.

It's a pity we can only vote for one...:(

Julius - you win my used bog roll this year...

EDIT: Why is her poisonous Ivyness not on the list too? AKC oppose her nomination? :D

I wouldnt vote for any of the above.

I'd vote for the ANC dude (is that Squatcha? sp? lol) responsible for NOT submitting names for the recent municiple elections.

Jeepers, but like he should be fired for this.

Manto Tshabalala-Msimang - Not mampara, but not employee of the month for her - ever.
Julius Malema - might have a big mouth, but not mampara - future president this guy, and someone to be scared of.
Thabo Mbeki - Mampara, very aloof this chap, and not presidential material - Mampara of the year, nope.
Robert Mugabe - Not much else you can really say about this lunitic. Mampara isnt the correct word to use for him.
Jacob Zuma - If i had to choose from this list, he would get it. He does want his day in court, but defends himself in every possible angle known to the courts. Lying bastard. When he ends up being the boss, think he'll be more of a stupid confusing puppet.
Kgalema Motlanthe - Mampara Nope, he's been OK in the short time he has been the boss, although his comment this week about Zim's untiy government was nuts but isnt enough to give him any award

How disrespectfull is this. Tisk Tisk!

Um, what!? You can call dog schit by any other name, and it will still be dog schit. Same applies to mamparras!!!

If you place yourself in the public eye, and are remunerated for making important public decisions, then you should be prepared to be called a mamparra once in a while. Unfortunately for most of these candidates (and us), once a while would be a much needed improvement...

Malema of course...

By calling Mugabe a mampara is an insult to other mamparas.

Can't really see why the current pres is on that list.

Julius Malema vs Robert Mugabe.
Feels like an elections is on

Same here.
But I think Julius wins. We can thank him for virtually single handedly causing the divide in the ANC and a (hopefully) more democratic SA for the future.

Lol, you right on some points, its strange however that all the candidates are from the ANC, I know S.A's newspaper's have an atitude against the current government and this is just one example.

A noteworthy mampara would be Mugabe, while i still maintain Zuma was framed. Conspiracy theories aside, wouldnt you agree that the SA government has outperformed the U.S governent in recent times?

I beleive in politicans being held acountable for the actions but lets just remember common decency and the fact that IF you as a layman had to be put in their shoes and the positive things you do would be overlooked but your mistakes would imediatly be deemed mamparaesque

This government is *** on some fronts but dont deserve nearly as much flak as they get.

Thats my unpopular opinion. BTW im not a FRUIT as one esteemed comrade called me, I infact voted in this poll.
