Man accuses 17-year-old girlfriend of cheating, stones her to death

Limpopo police arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly killing a 17-year-old girl, believed to be his girlfriend in Kome village over the weekend.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mamphaswa Seabi said the man allegedly stoned the girl to death after he accused her of cheating on him.

“The police were called, and on arrival at the scene, the victim was found lying with fatal injuries. She was identified as Promise Tjatji,” Seabi said. The man has been charged with murder and was expected to appear in the Nebo Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
