I find it weird that he left his mother to die. Placing myself in his narrative, I would have probably died with my mother in that forest. You might as well be dead living with thought of leaving your mother to die like that…

Son got furious and hated his mother for always belittling him and having a new bf every month. He went off into the forest upset, she followed. At 14yrs old he was strong enough to choke her with his belt. After he killed her he hiked back, the rest is history.
