So who's at fault the motorist or the guy begging between cars? I would legit prefer if they place some sort of law/stricter punishment prohibiting anybody regardless of what they doing from being in the middle of the road.

Now he can have his wedding in crutches.

Roads are for cars. He was walking between moving cars and was clearly in the way and where he wasn't supposed to be. Intersections can be pretty chaotic and people can be hard to see if you don't expect anyone to be in the middle of the road.

He said he turned around to move to the next car but I reckon he probably stepped in front of an oncoming car in the turning lane without looking. Light was probably green for that lane only or something.

Folks never realize, you could do so much more with the money wasted on a wedding as a couple for your future. If you must have something, do a small braai or whatever, don't fall for the pageantry.

True! I wish our black families can learn that, too.

Have some decency guys. He was not begging. He was doing off-line implementation of gofundme.

Scholtz said Van Niekerk was lying unconscious on the road when a stranger stopped “to pray for him”.

“He woke up shortly after that,” she said.

Whats the correlation between the two?

This guy is such a dumbass - look before you leap is apt in this case

And 21st birthday in my neighbourhood recently. Huuuuge event, 100+- cars.
At least funerals get covered by insurance...most of the expenses at least.

One doesn't need a ceremony for lobola but people waste money on them. "White" wedding isn't necessary for non-christians but people insist on them. This leaves us with one inexpensive ceremony but people would rather throw over R300k on frivolous celebrations.

I think that post was more like all the blacks can afford to spend money at will and whites like him can't as they don't have money for "obvious" reasons.

I will keep a packet of condoms in my car to contribute to such a beggar next time I see one.
