Man of the Match ...

How often does it happen that a Man of the Match is a Tight-head Prop or a Loose-head Prop or a Lock or a Fullback or a Hooker ... or sometimes even one of the two centres?

Point is ... not all positions in a rugby team has the same respectability and value than others have.

Although I don't find it disturbing or even mildly annoying ... it doesn't sit perfectly easy with me.

Have you seen the same?

They might not get the deserved respect, but they all fulfill a vital role in the team. Ultimately it is a team performance which gets them the win no matter who get the MoM.

I find MoM is often quite varied and anyway, it's just the commentary team that picks them, we the fans love the whole team's display :)

Agreed.

Like the Lions win over the Blues. I would've given the MoM to the whole Lions starting tight five. As it was their dominance that got the win.
