There's a guy lying up with a camera on the M3 in Cape Town (blue route) just before you get to Wynberg/Bisphopscourt. He's waiting for people not to reduce speed from 100 to 80 on the hill.

He's hard to see, so be careful.

hrm.. depends. Where i stay which is after the wynberg turn off going down the hill(heading into town) the speed limit is 60km/hr NOT 80km/hr(you will get fined for >70km/hr) and their fav spot is the gap/garden between the face brick house on your left as you head down hill. Most people get caught here as rolling down the hill at 60km/hr prior to going down hill you will definitely hit 80+km/hr if you don't use your brakes.

I don't often go in the other direction past wynberg but i am sure that the limit rises to 70km/hr as you take the bend past wynberg park(after the off ramp to wynberg) and then only rises to 100km/hr when it straightens.

Is the car perhaps white? ( No decal, just pure white )

reason i ask is i saw this before but going down the hill towards town and it was a guy with a camera sitting next to his white car and in civvie's.

I assumed it was maybe some sort of research, counting traffic with a camera perhaps.

No car, just a guy lying down.

He was higher up the hill to the left this time and not amongst the crash barriers. The speed changes from 100 > 80 and then to 60 in quite a short space just before Bishopscourt. This is before the road flattens and then turns left where there's often some red lights. He seemed to be aiming high at the 100km/h turning to 80 zone.

Hey Sackboy,
( i know i don't post, i only read them, but despite those bloody cops getting their income quotas for the day, rather than actually making the roads safer, on dangerous , just milking the people with fixed addresses)

Anyway,
On Sunday 1st (they normally love sat and sun mornings) their were two cops out (both north-bound), on M3, one under the abandoned bridge in bergvleit, and the other HIDING:mad: on the corner of wynberg park bend (going up into Bishops).
they HIDING not behind the barrier- but back off the road up the hill in the bush (there's a hole in the line of shrubs- in the shadow of that hole -you can see it) With the laser camera, he can probably get you as you get onto the wynberg park bridge going from 100km/h to 80km/h ...

And they are normally on Edinburgh drive (going in to bishops court downhill 60km/h zone near kirstenbosh turning) with the guy by himself no car, half way down !!

Anyway -save some money Kaapenaars, know thee enemy :D and where he hides .....
(also sometimes behind bushes just before constantia main rd bridge M3 going north early morning)

Yup.. that's where i see them often. They park inside Bishopscourt so you won't see the trademark van/car and since i have to go up the hill 1/2 way to turn around if i am going towards down I always spot them sitting there.

Reminds me the other day i was driving down milner road(towards claremont) and since i happen to always look to my right at my uncles place i notice ther use his drive way as a park area + camera spot(other drive ways are too narrow). heh it was funny [:p] cause i noticed him and other cars got caught unaware.
