In his reasoning for the suspension, Mantashe said the NNR chairperson had informed him that Becker’s conduct prompted the board to get a legal opinion to establish whether it posed a conflict with his role and fiduciary duty as a member of the board.

The ANC cadre deployment committee must have been seriously worried about a conflict of interest.

I'm not pro-nuclear, but I do feel that having someone on the board who is vehemently opposed to Nuclear seems to bit problematic for me... For me there needs to be 2 Civil appointments, 1 negative and 1 positive.
indeed. I think if that persons agenda is to totally derail SA's nuclear program then its going to be pointless to have them on the board.

Can we not get Cubans to run Koobheg? Or can we at least change it's name?
LOL Bring in the expert Cubans who gained their experience during the nuclear missiles crisis.

Sounds more like a possibility than anything really.

Ahh, I see you are unable to debate the merit of my posts so you have moved to something else, well done.
Let me put it this way, in power since 1994, that would make it about 28 years, and in 28 years, we've seen wave upon wave of corruption. No scratch corruption because apparently some sectors of society seems to think it's not a crime, let's call it what it is, theft. For 28 years the ANC and it members and supporters has STOLEN billions from SA, all of which has made headline news without any comrade being jailed, and yet you are here extolling their virtues like they are innocent. The law puts it clearly, if you support a criminal in any way, you are seen as a criminal before the law, so guess what that makes you by sheer virtue of you undying support for your masters!? That is right cupcake. It no longer boils down to being "unable to debate" but more to "tired of talking". Mark my words, the ANC's days are numbered, and then I smell a ending similar to Nicolae Ceaușescu's.

Okay, how do you feel now that you've got that off your chest?

Maybe let's wait to hear what he was suspended for before we make him to be some angel? Or do you know him personally to assure us he is the guy with the most conscience in the room?
We know Gwede. ANC criminal of the highest caliber.

Good for you but I am not interested in how much you know Gwede, I am interested in what the guy has done for the board to take the action they did against him.

Obviously. We also need the minutes of the meetings held in this person's absence as well as the recordings, video too if available. GPS coordinates of participants would be nice as well.

The suspension was recommended by the chair of the board, Gwede did not just wake up and suspend the guy.

I know we love victims but real life works differently. The guy must still be heard in a fair manner though, not in any way implying he is guilty.

What I am only saying is that he is not automatically the good guy because he was suspended.
You cannot use the ANC and fair in the same sentence, paragraph, or statement.

Some of what you said is true, but you fail to realise this is Africa, the dictatorships/communist regimes don't come to an end without civil war, as history has shown and is happening at this very moment.

The ANC will come to an end, only to be replaced by something worse, like all other failed African states. Its a case of history repeating itself. SA is not special, its just another trash-heap in a continent full of trash heaps

Funny because I never said anything about the ANC in that post.
It is implied. Or rather, your combined comments in this thread can only mean you're talking about the ANC, and quite a supporter at that.

That is actually all that really matters, what actions happened that made the board take such a step...and being our NNR those board minutes should be public largely but unfortunately we all know that our ruling class love a bit of secrecy.

"Ahh, I see you are unable to debate the merit of my posts so you have moved to something else, well done." Alas, we've come full circle.
It's always a wise thing to check the heading of a thread before going on some rants you call a debate.
