At least he said 6-12 months. In the other article the “experts” were saying the problems at Eskom can be solved with just one word

Honestly this would be the best system to follow

Government keeps breaking the social pact between citizens and government, yet, we continuously pay taxes despite the horrendous service delivery. In some cases, taxpayers are forced participants of enabling corruption!

Best way to bring these wannabe social celebrities to ground is to remove their funding and show them where they belong - as servants, not as leaders!
Its the worst idea.

Hasn't worked for etolls and its clear that the ANC will let this place burn to the ground.

"Just increase EAF" and "We will find capacity if we look for it"

What a dumbass. EAF will increase briefly as citizens/municipalities disconnect from the grid. However generation capacity will steadily decline as power plants break left and right and maintenance is forgotten about (again).

To be fair, those that didn't pay E-Tolls over the past couple of years would beg to differ. Yes, we are all forced to pay for the system now but it does again show that if we as the taxpayers could vote with our wallets, we will eventually force these incompetent numbskulls to choose the correct policy, that should have been implemented from the start. I remember OUTA laid out the mathematics of using the fuel levy to pay for the upgrades without the need for gantries or collection agencies etc. Had the ANC just done the correct thing from the start, instead of trying to line their pockets along with Kapsch, E-Tolls would have never been a thing.

Again, tax revolts are a terrible idea but what else can we do when a situation with moronic communists becomes desperate?

In the end the money has to come from somewhere... and the people who want to stay here will have to pay in the end.

Imagine the DA or whoever had to take over after a tax revolt ? how would they convince people to start paying again.

Its the same problem with terrorism. convincing the population that they must start behaving again.
