"First time in years I have retweeted Eusebius"
It was unnecessary. A retweet and engagement would suffice in situations like this. I expect this tit-for-tat nonsense from Mzwandile Masina. She now leads a troubled party that needs mature guidance to get through the muck.

Only the public can make an outcry about the loose remark. I listened to the interview, and both are driving the ‘correct’ narrative with opposing views and it did get cheeky between the two. Much to talk about, and yes, Zille is throwing the discussion out there in the public but should avoid entering the discussion within the comment section. The last part to the interview in regard to Herman Mashaba; Zille should avoid engaging in how he had made up his mind. He has his own perception and she had her own perception.

Generally, when Zille is pushed, she retaliates by getting personal and that is where the remark came in. I agree that it is silly, but I am not reading too much into it. I do perceive that Zille wasn't happy with the discussion. She should know by experience that Eusebius was going to push it.

Just to add. Zille isn’t the party president; she is however now leading the DA’s course and principle which must be adopted through consensus. Zille is right, she is there to bring change which she didn’t deny. Zille staying in her ‘lane’… well, through the policy they can change the DA’s ‘visible’ leadership. Through consensus Zille can unplug Maimane, should she wish to do so, but otherwise she will need to be supportive. Zille cannot deny, however, that she is now a DA leader.

That;s not what he meant. Its about Zille throwing an unnecessary punch to Eusebus. She's is planting the seed for a potential unneeded twitter outburst, something the DA don't need. So much for staying in my lane...

"Staying in my lane" is in the context of not abusing the power of the DA Federal Council for use of ousting Maimane and his staunch supporters within the organisation. Yes, Zille did throw a punch at Eusebius, but shouldn't defend any form of retaliation thereof.

“The election of Helen Zille as federal chair is a victory for those within the DA who stand opposed to the principles I stand for. I cannot reconcile myself with people who see race as irrelevant in the discussion of inequality and poverty in South Africa in 2019.”

So then you are a racist if race is relevant. People who see race as irrelevant are not racist no matter the topic of discussion is..

How is it Zille was able to drop her job at the IRR and then throw her hat in for the fed chair so late in the race and still win?

It is an indication of her popularity.

Must be like that time when they specially created a post for someone they wanted to employ

When will minorities in this country realise they are fighting for survival?
Survival trumps principle.

We have to secure democracy before we can build a non racial utopia. Our democracy is hanging by a thread.

Seems we are back to the situation where the DA is a white party and no sensible alternative exists for black middle class voters.

Only positive here is that it creates more space for the sane part of the ANC to split off when their unholy alliance becomes untenable.

Nah, sorry fell for that crap/kak before....when Helen was selling her united front against the ANC, viable alternative... only to have that idealism stabbed in the back ...nee dankie, I would rather vote FF+-

Useing the word comrade in any serious way should disqualify him from the DA.
I think people are reading too much into his use of the word. He's not using the word in the communist sense, imo anyway.

So there is no party that looks out the best interests of black people but there is one for whitey. Well that's rather embarrassing.

Who is this mythical "sane part of the ANC"?
