Either way, this should be an interesting week for the DA. He was popular within the party and I would expect others to join him in resigning from the party.

He may also just quit politics altogether and focus on business where he will make more money anyway.

I'm not even a fan of the DA but I call out BS on that. He is supposedly leaving because Zille was elected. AFAIK, the other three candidates were also white. If one of them were elected, he would not have been doing this.

1. He leaves for good. **** that guy for punishing the residents because he doesn't like Helen being white (because that's what it sounds like)

2. He defects to EFF and attempts/succeeds in becoming the mayor. JHB now belongs to the EFF. **** that guy.

People disagree with each other on ideas all the time. I don't understand why people are saying he does not want to work with Helen because she is white. If he did not want to work with white people, he would have not joined the DA in the first place.

He also would not have been doing this if one of the other three candidates (all of whom were white) won.

The DA marketed MM as a highly intelligent black man which worked back when Zuma was president. MM did seem highly intelligent in his interactions with JZ in parliament.
