How many of you are gonna cancel come end august and there is still no improvement?

Seeing as how the deadline is tomorrow and the mount of ppl that r screaming at the apparent fixed status let just show sentech how much dough they are really going to be losing if they dont fix it.

So what i want
1: ure package
2: reason for cancelling their service

Proud South african rip offs.

Question is:

So if all of you are cancelling, what other option are you going to use? (Can't really refer to iBurst since it hasn't been commercially released)

Don't get me wrong here, I would change from SenKuck in an instant, but there isn't much available out there!

The nice thing about ADSL, is that there is no contract. So If iBurst rocks and proves itself over three months or so, I can switch over anytime. And until then I get a (semi)decent service.

Oh well,at least Iburst can learn a lesson from Sentech.
If you want to keep your customers, don`t lie or mess around with them.
Cause that customer will tell all his friends not to get that service.

Pray that the only site for iburst will www.Iburstrules.co.za and not sucks

Google is so smart,I typed in Hellkom and guess what google said

Don`t you mean.....<insert evil laugh>

I still have my ADSL, and have had ever since I've subscribed to MyWireless. It's a superior service, even with all it's limitations.

The bandwidth is always good, and the uptime is phenomenal. Plus, it kicks the crap out of Sentech's "512k" "package" (which is really around 200K) and is cheaper than Sentech's package. Pings are awesome, and packetloss is nonexistant.

There's just no comparison. It's a nobrainer.

not me :( I was dumb enough to buy the modem once off as opposed to paying it off with my contract, like I really never thought Sentech could be this bad, when they mentioned that it might drop slightly below 16K I was thinking that it would at least average about 10K/s , LITTLE DID I KNOW!

So yeah, I'm ****ed, my ass is there's and I'm on a 2 year contract.... could I be any more stupid? So for the next 22 months if Sentech is still around , while you're enjoying your speeds think of me , pinned to a table with Winston and his crew taking turns to .. well you get the picture, I'm ****ed.. need I say more :~(

Actually MrBOB you could still fight and get out of the contract. Then try and privately sell the modem.

One question "Does Sentech really care about our opinions / cancelations?" - It sometimes feel like your talking to a brickwall. I guess we'll see during september.

BTW - Another core 'upgrade' to mywireless scheduled for 5 Sept - is that the extra bandwidth we are waiting for?

Hey RegardTV: I'm in the same predicament as MrBob, how and to whom would I sell this "modem" (Read dust collector) to?

Who would be stupid enough to buy this piece of crap?
Hmmmm...... wait a second.

Well, believe it or not but there are people still signing up to MySmokeSignal.

Also, there have been a few requests from guys wanting a "second" modem 1 office and 1 mobile ...

If you're on the 256k package, switching to ADSL makes sense if you can live with the cap as it works out to about R150 more - hey, at least part of the month you'll get fast international bandwidth as opposed to NEVER with sensucks.

2nd modem will not help much if you're "permanently" connected from home and try to connect from work with the same user id. Remember the sh*t greedy had a while back with his user id ?Contention ratio : 1 modem = 1 user id LOL. Unbundled package (connection only) will obviously work, but NOBODY can be that stupid.

hey at least if its slow at work then you have a chance that it will be quicker at home.. so you have some choice but I agree - there is no point. Luckily you WILL still find someone to buy it from you. My guess is that public perception is not harmed at all for Sentech (people still signing up and going WOW at the demos in shopping malls..)
