So every US mass shooting deserves their thread despite being more often than local mass shooting and not local ones?
Not that they deserve their own thread but they'll get it anyway because the incidents are widely reported and discussed globally.

Whereas here, extreme violence is a regular occurance especially in more rural areas so it doesn't get as much attention if any.

Because Africa ne.

It’s quite sobering when you see them all listed on one thread, just the last day or 2 there’s been a whole bunch, which has probably been happening regularly but I just wasn’t aware of it.
Good thread op.

I am all for a thread like this. Mass shootings in SA are rife. Problem is that the Media are not keen on reporting on all of them. SAPS and Government are not keen on making stats publicly either as it tarnishes the country's reputation. But, while we get to see one in every 5,000 mass shootings reported in the media in SA, we should discuss these in a single thread. Mass shootings are more here in SA than anywhere else in the world.
Do they have mass shootings in Panama?

What reputation? The ones where they are known as incompetent, uselss and thieves?

Not here but you are so detached from reality not sure how you got out of Bedlam.

Yeah, no, look... You and I are definitely living in two totally different realities. That is not even disputed.

I lived in a South Africa in a time when there were proper government services. Where there were virtually no corruption compared with what happened from 1994. When living costs were low and all, black, white, coloured, Indian - all could have made a decent living - when all had access to education and jobs. Not all could have been managers or CEO's, but everyone had opportunities.

My reality moved to a country when Socialism and Communism took over. This was followed by a collapse in the economy, companies scaling down, closing down. The country saw unemployment never experienced before. Total collapse in government services and everything the government is involved in. The country turning into a warzone with rampant farmers slaughtered, crime, riots, mass shootings, and much more. Living costs increased to being the highest in the world. Poverty at levels never experienced before. Electricity, water and much more can hardly be provided. Legalized Government discrimination against minorities. Although I see the country as a failed state, some would only say it is close.

So, perhaps your reality may be an AA and BEE beneficiary making a lot of money due to these policies, offering you and your family a better life, better access to safety and security.

So, seems SA would depend through which lens one looks....
