I don't think it is coincidence we don't have any mask wearing and pandemic rules and suddenly you get mass shootings. People now have to make up for it by going to parties, getting into trouble and pushing boundaries they would not have pushed prior to the pandemic.

This is something worldwide. People all over the world are not happy with governments. Governments are becoming more radical themselves with the power they learnt they can get away with thinking they can control people. People in turn want even more freedom they had before.

I don't think it is directly organized but some political people will benefit if it can make their opponent look bad.

The Ramaphosa's faction marketing message is all linked to they are cleaning up corruption and it was 9 wasted years under Zuma. However with the Eskom infrastructure sabotaging you suddenly got the hashtag ##SorryJacobZuma appearing in July. The Zuma faction is trying to say that during his time as president we had it better than now and Zuma did a better job.

We could easily be in the middle of a faction war but like the 2021 riots no one in gov is interested in finding the culprits who are inflaming tensions.

Three dead, two injured in Gqeberha shooting

Three men were killed and two others injured during a shooting in Gqeberha early on Saturday morning.

Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said when police arrived in Sigcawu Street, Walmer, at around 03:23 on Saturday, they found the bodies of three men in the road.

A fourth victim was found further down the road, injured by gunshot wounds in his left leg and shoulder, said Naidu.

According to Naidu, the four of the victims were standing outside a gate in Sigcawu Street when a white Quantum minibus approached and started firing shots at them.

Another man was wounded in his shack after he was woken by the gunshots and was struck by a bullet on getting out of bed.

Police say two suspects started shooting inside and outside the house where people had gathered on Friday night.
