Massive Debit Order I did not authorize - Nedbank

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone else has had something like this before.
I wake up this morning and see a R10k pending debit on my account which I have no idea where it came from.

I tried calling Nedbank and they can tell me jack, lodged a complaint etc...
They say I must wait and call back tomorrow, like hell!

Anyone have some advice on who/where to go to.

I don't think SARS collects via debit order.

OK nm, I think I found it by going back through yesterday's payments, I see that Nedbank have lumped all my business payments for yesterday into one amount, just to make sure I'm awake this morning.

They do. According to law they can take out of your account without any notification.

Wouldn't call it a debit order, more like here bank take this court order and transfer money for us.

Probably only if you haven't paid for some years and they have tried to get the money from you.

Actually not. They can take it anytime money is owed to them.
