massive hail storm over fairland

It was crazy here in Parkhurst. Sister and me were standing outside waiting for puppy to go potty and I said to her what the hell is that noise. It sounded like a plane appraoching the house from north cliff side. All of a sudden the cat ran like a bat out of hell into the house and then the noise got insane. I said to my sister I dont know what is happening but something is about to happen and we better make a run for it. Just as we got inside all hell broke loose.

I assume that approaching noise was the hail as it pounded the houses as it swept over the area and approached ours.

oh ... and the fence was knocked out I think. Alarm went off and now we cant it to activate again. "fence" keeps flashing red on the panel

When I heard that roar I started walking down to lock the tool shed, heard a thud then another thud. Turned and ran for cover. Definitely would've been concussed.

Lounge is leaking in 3 places, water pouring from every down light in the kitchen. Now I know where the term "mopping up operations comes from".

Funny thing is home loan is paid up but kept open at standard bank. Been trying to get an answer from them for 3 months about whether my HOC is still active.

The SO is in JHB for the weekend and sent me this last night. Apparently they were the size of golf balls.

Yesterday evening we were watching tv when we heard this thunder like noise. I thought it was a bike because an hour ago there weren't even clouds in the sky. But then the sound continued and got louder and it sounded like a lot of airplanes coming closer. We thought that whatever it was it can't be good. So we went outside and the sound came closer and then it was just klap klap klap and bam the hail came down.

Last year I had a lot of hail damage and the hail this time around weren't as bad as last year but it's the first time I could hear it coming.
