4.5 square kilometres for 100mw and only 4.5 hours after sun set? Meh.

sunset around here is 19:00 so that will give power at peak time ? wont it
True....but sun intensity would decrease a lot before that surely. Anyway....just seems pretty meh for such a big sprawling thing to produce only 100mw.

I hope they have registered their solar installation so they avoid fines.

It could be that they sacrificed efficiency in order to provide power after the sun sets. Just guessing though, I really don't know.

yea I guess the salt is for peak hours, we going to need a **** load more to stop load shedding from 18:00 22:00

at this rate.



Also before somebody comes here and says that coal plants takes up less space. well can't even supply our current plants with coal

100MW capacity delivering a projected 390GWh per year – enough to run almost 180,000 households
