Game's big Black Friday question

Massmart-owned Game has yet to reveal its plans for Black Friday 2024, which falls on Friday, 29 November this year.

Massmart told MyBroadband that it isn't ready to reveal its plan. It remains to be seen whether Game will follow a similar approach to previous Black Friday sales.

Never knew it took a year to jack up prices then drop them back down to label them as a "black friday sale".

It took their merchandising team a year to secure the deals? If thats the best they could do with a years worth of effort, Massmart needs a new merchandising team.

...customers should use price comparison tools before deciding to buy a product.
Dear MyBB, what about an article on this. My main "comparison tool" is Takealot with a built-in Serval Tracker. Pricecheck does not seem to give a good overview any more. What else is available?

The US Black Friday event was fantastic, as anyone who has been lucky enough to experience one will attest to. Good were extremely cheap and of high quality, mainly being end of life stock that needed to be sold to make room for new stock. What you have today is a money grab. Those end of life goods no longer really exist as the retail environment has changed to eliminate cheaper out of season purchases etc. Even that dirt cheap TV isn't really cheap at all anymore. People would for the main, do well to steer well clear of these so called 'sales'
