If I was Mayweather I would not have agreed to this fight. Everyone who understands boxing knows Manny stands no chance and he knows it. It's unfair to hand a lesser boxer a free pass to us$80m. This is wrong. When Mayweather boxed the greats to make his name he came in as the inferior fighter and the split showed. This should've been 70-30 or worse in Mayweather's favour. These guys bullied his ego so much in public he folded just to shut them up. This has never been about who's better but a big paycheck for Bob Arum, and a rather broke Manny.
The reason why the purse is us$200m+ is 80% down to Mayweather(and a bit because of haters' desire for his unbeaten streak to end so he can be brought down to earth). In cricket India have been "subsiding" a lot of countries bacause marketing wise they are dominant. Now they are calling for their share. The only reason boxing is still relevant is because Mayweather still fights omce or twice a year. He's been earning lesser boxers money, and I think us$80m for Manny is a bit too far. He was dead&buried not too long ago. Kudos to Arum for repairing his marketability, but there's still three guys out there who can hurt Manny.[QUtOTE=ZCFOutkast;14660602]Don't think the money distribution is based on who is more likely to win alone.
My money is on Mayweather. Pacquiao may be the best rated pound-by-pound boxer, but Mayweather can bite as hard as he can bark.
He's also more likely to have the judges in his pocket.
