Summary
McAfee is aware of a w32/wecorl.a false positive with the 5958 DAT file that was released on April 21, 2010.
Problem
Blue screen or DCOM error, followed by shutdown messages after updating to the 5958 DAT on April 21, 2010.
Solution
WARNING: If you have not done so already, do NOT download the 5958 DAT and disable all automatic pull and update tasks.

yip, was in the office till 12:30am this morning fixing that one..thanks McAfee.

may be worthwhile to keep daily updates on ice till early morning to prevent such occurences, however rarely they happen...

With the rate that new infections are coming out you can't to not update. The problem was fixed with a new pattern within hours.

Its so rare that this happens its not feasible to hold off rolling out until you've tested.
