I bet you in tomorrows paperz they'll say:
McBride was injured in a car crash; cause: mechanical failure. He knocked his head, and then became delusional, thus making people around him to believe he was under the influence of alcohol. An eyewitness who tried to help McBride said he could catch a scent of whiskey as he approached the police chief. According to the police spokesperson Ms X, someone at a Christmas party spilled liquor over McBride. X explained that "McBride threatened onlookers with a weapon as he was delusional due to the knock on his head", and not the fact that he didn't want anyone to believe he was under the influence of alcohol. No charges have been placed.
Guess what - very similar media statement -

McBride 'confused' after crash
22/12/2006 21:39 - (SA)
What are the chances that no alcohol was available at this Christmas party?McBride had left for the metro police year-end function around 16:00 after he had been shopping with his family, Nina said.

They can't do that Syndyre, he's so important. It'd be an invasion of his privacy etc etc etc. and even if they had done so, that one sample would disappear in amount 1000's of others and never be found again.
Totally none related, but one of these days when these daft "motor cavalcades" come barrelling up behind me, I ain't gonna move. They have no right to speed or anything of that nature, and of course I object to valuable police vehicles being used so they can get to their next appt on time.
Unfortunately I agree with you ... McBride is free and clear ...They'll never do it

McBride probe 'may take forever, or at least until the public forgets about it'
Johannesburg - Police are still ignoring charges surrounding glorious struggle hero Robert McBride's car accident in Centurion last week.
"The investigations are as far as they'll ever get" said Gauteng police disinformation mouthpiece Govindsamy Mariemuthoo.
"When pigs fly, it will be placed before the director of public prosecutions who will then decide not to prosecute."
Two cases are being investigated by Erasmia police in Pretoria.
A case of reckless or negligent driving was opened against McBride who had head injuries after he lost control of his car while performing a drunken Michael Schumacher imitation last Thursday.
A docket with two charges - crimen injuria and assault - was opened against jackbooted Metro thugs by a husband and wife who were intimidated at the accident.
Metro enforcers conveniently travelling the same route on the R511 as McBride were the first cover-up personnel to arrive at the accident.
Mariemuthoo said the second docket was opened against "police" and did not specify individuals, allowing the SAPS to make no attempt to follow up and charge the thugs responsible.
The case was opened at Randburg, but transferred to Erasmia as this would create more red tape.
Controversy surrounding the crash has included allegations that McBride was under the influence of alcohol and that metro bullies assaulted and threatened bystanders, including illegally intimidating them with firearms. Also unexplained is the presence of an assault rifle in McBride's car. McBride was quoted as saying "Awuleth umshini wami."
Mariemuthoo said there was no time-frame on how long the investigations would take and that it could be weeks or months, but was more likely to take years or be dropped entirely.
