McDonald's beats KFC and Starbucks beats Seattle

MyBroadband recently tested the free WiFi networks at various takeaway restaurants, which showed that Starbucks and McDonald's reigned supreme.

For this testing, MyBroadband visited each restaurant, ordered a light meal for takeaway, and tested the free WiFi while waiting for our order.
 

Why is free WiFi so rare in South Africa?

With uncapped fibre a very real thing in South Africa, what's with businesses being so stingy about making it freely available for customers? Even coffee shops and restaurants (where it makes perfect sense) seem to be skimping on this. They probably spend more on those terrible mints they give...

I thought seattle was more of a grab and go type place instead of a sit and chill vibe. Everyday is a school day
 
I love my Starbucks, so no complaints here. Can sit there for hours with my Mac, either working or just watching people.
 
Starbucks coffee is so overrated.
 
Going to Starbucks later for my weekly free coffee and will try this superb free Wi-Fi as well.
 
Yeah yeah, but did you test the plug points?
