A former McDonald's employee has filmed a video of what he says is a mouse running around inside a bag of burger buns at the fast food chain.

In the stomach-churning clip, the rodent speeds around inside the clear plastic bag of buns, making contact with numerous pieces of bread.

Despite this unsanitary event, according to the former McDonald's employee, bosses at the West Oak Lane branch in Philadelphia ordered workers to brush off the droppings and serve the buns to unsuspecting customers.

When Karruim Demaio saw the mouse scurrying around inside the bag, he whipped out his phone and caught the footage in order to expose his former employers.

He said: 'I was going back there to get something else and I heard some rustling, so I turned around, and I look, I seen a mouse inside the bread. Not on top of the package, but inside of the package.

'That wasn't the first time. That was about the sixth or seventh time. That's what made me like, I got to get video of this.'

He then contacted TV channel Fox 29 which aired the gruesome video.

Ken Youngblood, the owner of the McDonald's store, said in a statement that the company wanted to investigate the claim to make sure they had 'all the facts'.

'I want my customers to know that I am taking this matter seriously and will immediately address any issues that may exist,' he said.
The restaurant in question had already been under fire from the Philadelphia Health Department for 'unacceptable public health conditions'.

Think someone should forward this to news24 (The user)

He seems to think they make the best burgers in the world :)

Maybe that's what's giving it that flavour he likes.

You might be right... well in that case we doing him a favor, we letting him know what the "secret ingredient" is to make his own ;)

A lot of you have obviously not worked in restaurants and/or take-away outlets ....... that video is tame

Tame, maybe, but if it's true that this rodent thing is not being properly eradicated, can you imagine what their attitude is toward hygiene in general

I've worked in 11 restaurants and all of them had mice, rats and cockroaches.

Your house has them.

I will not argue about the restaurants as I have seen and heard some scary things that would make most people avoid fast food as its the plague but one thing I am certain of is that there is defiantly none of that crap in my house.

And dont pull the crap about them coming out at night, as I work mostly in the night.

Yes you do.

You also have spiders, dust mites, bed bugs and little critters living on your body.
