You're not draining it, so not sure why it would struggle. Though it being a 7ah may factor into that, cause that is tiny. Maybe try see if you can find a 50ah. Or look for a full blown ups or mini one.
I've got a mini powering my cameras and routers for if the power trips
Remember the mecer stays in float mode with fan off if battery voltage is too high after power failure, so need to add external fan.

Thanks guys,
Landed up buying 2 x of these guys to connect in parallel.
Takealot - nothing like eBucks I guess...

Will have to see how it works out - I can always reduce the load if need be by taking the old LCD TV Screen off if need be.

Would the stock standard charger in the unit work?
Assuming if so, I'd need to switch it to 20A

And no more than 10A setting :p

Do not use 20a setting. not worth the risk. 10a is plenty, the battery is rated at 3a charge, so 6a with 2.
That listing was written by a todler, there are discrepancies.

BTW Dimentions, this is NOT a drop in replacement as they state as the form factor is that of a typical 7ah sla battery not the long slim form factor garage motors use.
Website: 178 x 73 x 70mm
Box/Battery: 152*65*97mm

Anyway 10a is fine especially if expected drain is so low.

Stick a 24V fan on the back. 10A max for mecer and lfp.

I can't see what the max current that battery can supply?
For 300W you'll need around 12A
Plus overhead you probably only get about 80% out of what you pull out from battery conversion losses so you would need at least 375w from the battery to get 300w on the output

So 375/25.6=14.6 amps Min amps I would go a touch more to avoid nuisance trips

Most batteries tend to have 1C bms some exceptions do exist
they are the exception, most tend to have a max draw equal to its AH rating

no i would stick to 10A ,especially since it is just short periods you use it, had one of these units that worked flawlesly on 10A but did not last long on 20A, yea others said it is related to fan, my fan was spinning at the time it popped ,

imo these devices aren't designed to deliver that 20A constantly

Quite a lot of comments and this is the second thread, can someone look at my post and confirm if I can upgrade the Meccer to Lithium batteries. - https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/thr...ter-to-lithium-batteries-need-advice.1314386/

Do I need to buy battery balancer if I convert to Lithium?

Thanks in advance.
Why don't you have a Balancer already ?

You'll probably find your answer if you scroll back a few pages and give it a read .... Afaik you shouldn't have issues

As @AlphaJohn suggests, just go straight with 24V lfp then no balancer needed. I would add 24V fan to supplement internal fan and stick to 10A setting.

DO NOT USE 20AMP CHARGING with lithium... unless you have modified the inverter to use an always on fan.
See if you can get a 24v battery that fits your enclosure, otherwise, yes you will need a battery balancer.

I ran a Lifepo4 on the same inverter for a long time. no issues, I had a extar fan mounted though, many other users didn't. Just don't use 20a, the inverter sometimes thinks the battery is full due to the voltage difference, and switches off the fan, but the battery is still charging. On 10amps the unit passively cools enough to not blow up, on 20a it pops and bye bye inverter.

Forgot to mention the 10A thing.

Blame the fact that mine works so well that I forgot about the teething problems we had back in the day.
