Well I just buy from here or from Carbonite, so that limits you on availability as you must wait till something comes to the market. I don't like buying from dodgy places like Gumtree or FB marketplace.

Nice, yeah saw the big transformer when they took apart the one 1500w at my place. They thought the transformer popped, but it was actually just a wonky plug.
How heavy are those? They look bulky. And do the fans make noise all the time?
Not that heavy and the fans are actually quite quiet. Only came on when charging and weren't that loud.
And do you know what's the actual AC charging current? I remember there was an issue where the specs shows the total current including solar which looked very impressive whilst the actual AC current wasn't?
Much heavier than mosfet inverters due to transformer so feels like quality. Fan only comes on with temp or when recharging where it cycles on and off.
The ones I had claimed 15A, which did seem to be the case.
I think its 5A for 1000W. I connect 10A external charger if I need more speed but that's only happened once.
Yep, I totally like quality and at the rate the modified Mecer are popping, it doesn't look like they are much quality.
Yeah not sure why yours is slow charging, should be 15A like the others, 5A is way tooo low

Yeah, that is a massive spoilsports, it looks better to take chances with the Chinese Axpert clones, there aren't too much expensive and you get a usable 25/30A.
It does sound too low.
