Yeah not sure why yours is slow charging, should be 15A like the others, 5A is way tooo low
In the manual it says charging settings are C0-C6, C0=0A so I assume C6 = 6A.

So not 5A, 6A. I'll try measure with a power meter someday to get an estimate as its hard to actually time the recharge, it normally completes while I'm asleep.

Yeah, that is a massive spoilsports, it looks better to take chances with the Chinese Axpert clones, there aren't too much expensive and you get a usable 25/30A.
This is one of the issues, the prices haven't really dropped like others for these, though there aren't many 12v 2000w inverters floating around.

Even 6A is way to low for 1000w inverter system.

I still have no regrets though other than not getting the 2000W one.

It does look like they have something to hide as the charging current states "inside solar controller", I hate it when specs are not clear.

Just to recap on my ecco's recommendation, I just want to clarify to not get the 1000W one but the 2000W one mainly for charging speed but there have been times 1000W wasn't enough even though my 2 x 12V 100Ah LFP's in parallel could.

Hi

I have the Mercer 1200va, it was happily working while we had a power cut then suddenly cut out. The power is back on however the unit seems dead, no lights nothing, it's not charging or anything. Is it dead or do the batteries need a charge before it will work?

Edit: Well seems to have resurrected itself, still had 50% battery left
