There is no rush at all. I didn't realise it would take so much charge. What should I set the cutoff voltage to for these Hubble batteries? The charger us set it to 24.4. Not sure if that is correct.
What inverter is this? You can't set anything on the mecer.

Depends on how low you want to go, I guess anywhere between 24V and 25V.

I have the Mecer inverter which cannot be adjusted.

I am using a charger I have for my LiPos for my radio control gear. I can manually set the cutoff voltage. I'll set it to 14v as per your guide.

Oh, you mean upper limit cut off. How high can you go? Can you set it to 14.4V? Maybe the BMS will top balance the cells then?

The cut-off voltage fully adjustable. It is currently set to 14.4. currently the battery is showing 13.57v under a 5 amp load. Unloaded it is 13.48v.

I would leave it on that setting. It's probably going to take a while. 5amp charger will take 20 hours to charge 100Ah.

Geewiz is selling the Must brand now.

MUST 2400VA (1440W) High Frequency Modified Sine Wave Inverter Battery Charger (UPS) 3 Stage Charger, price R1756.

https://www.geewiz.co.za/inverters/...rter-battery-charger-ups-3-stage-charger.html

There is a 720W version as well, but the shopping link diverts wrongly now, worked previously, price R1596.

Good prices.

I must say, for R1500 I am tempted.
It's really not badly priced, just have them in a few rooms :) but they only will have stock in 15 to 20 days.

Anyone knows what the fan is like on these?
I'm still trying to figure out why people moan about the fan on my old girl, during non operation it's whisper quiet and during operation it's not really that loud either

Is it not just a matter of different designs? I think some used to be noisy but I was pleasantly surprised when I encountered the new ones compared to my Ellies, the fan was very silent.

No idea, mine is freaking ancient, was also used to keep lights and router running at night with a solar system before I took it over.

I've searched a bit through this thread but at the amount of pages I can only look so far.

Has anyone figured out how the fan in the Mecer 2400VA Inverter works ? I turned it power off for about 1 minute @ 100w load and the fan has been running for 40 minutes so far, current draw from wall is only 0.2A @ 220V.

I have not measured current after being off for 2 hours yet.

It's either doing a super low charge or on a timer after full charge perhaps ? No idea.
