Yes please, we demand a link.
Well the best cake would be in my tummy so you'd be hard pressed to try it out^ Useless post, no link, or even a mention of a product....
Its like saying "You should try this cake I bought its the best cake I ever had."
And waking away.
Please don't, nobody wants to see thatI went to go to the loo, I'll post a link
Bwahahahahaha...Please don't, nobody wants to see that
Is this the 12V one?I went to go to the loo, I'll post a link
I actually got them from the guys who service my generator I asked them to send me a price list and the inverters were on there and I was like hmm

This is the inverter, the batteries are
And a basic battery box for that would be about R300. They came to my house and actually built it up and set it up. I forgot to ask for the manual for the inverter as it has functions looks like you can set charge and think you can set it for Lithium, it does also show the frequency and yeah it does seem it drops just before and after LS.Takealot

The old mecer feels ancient in comparison, but I've only had one session with the Ecco and I've had many many years with the old Mecer
I don't have a link for the 12v one, the 12v one is like the 24v 1500w just not 24v from what I can see.Is this the 12V one?

Please show the 12V one.
Yes, I actually meant the price has gone down in the other post.Back to 2595

Oooooh my mistakeYes, I actually meant the price has gone down in the other post.
An external charge controller is all you need if you ever decide to go that route in future, so it's not really a big deal.So they phoned me up today and were like they are so sorry they don't have any more 1500w 24v systems, could I take the 2000w 12v system for the same price, they will put the batteries in parallel instead of series. So yeah I went ok fine, the 2000w is fine, but it turns out the 2000w doesn't have solar either, which isn't that much of a lose to be honest.
Ok cool I will check that out, good to know on the draw and yeah forgot I could get an external charge controller. The 1500w I plugged in my smart plug to check and it uses about 10w or so but it sometimes drops lower. I might move it to the lounge again and see later on the bigger one.An external charge controller is all you need if you ever decide to go that route in future, so it's not really a big deal.
The bigger ones are slightly inefficient so keep that in mind. I have a 600 and a 2000W PSW, the bigger one draws a couple more amps on standby than the 600W, they are both 12V. Fortunately it has a power saving feature where it switches itself off when it's not in use.
Yup. I believe @Grouter changed the fan in hisI don't have any Mecer but just reading to advise a family member.
Could you not swop out the noisy fan and replace it with a Noctua 80/92mm fan from Rebeltech? I know it might be more expensive but they come with a 6 year warranty and I love finding excuses to replace fans as I love Noctua.
Yip:Yup. I believe @Grouter changed the fan in his
Would an external charge controller still be cool when the inverter is charging? An external charge controller is all you need if you ever decide to go that route in future, so it's not really a big deal.

Yes and yes.Would an external charge controller still be cool when the inverter is charging?
Also would one just connect it to the positive and negative terminals that lead into the inverter from the two batteries in a 24V system?
Yes, no issues. Solar will actually save you money by supplementing the charging, on a good day my inverter's fan just go on for a few minutes after loadshedding before realizing that the batteries are full and there's actually nothing to be done, thinking back to the days when I had to contend with the noise of the fan, it's really a beautiful thing to behold.Would an external charge controller still be cool when the inverter is charging?
