I have the same monitor its a peace of crap, lines appear across the screen on startup. This is a widely spread issue with these monitors that starts just after the warranty period.

This is widely documented as well, stay away from this monitor its cheap but you get what you pay for.

And why would they? It is hard to justify spending money on a new screen when at home my curved 32-inch, 1440p, 144Hz Mecer gaming monitor is taking care of business on the regular.
Flex much ? And nogal got it for free

+1

Mine started with those lines a month after the warranty period. It becomes worse the longer the monitor is switched off.
However the lines do go away after the monitor "warms up", after 15min or so. Very weird!

After having the monitor off for about a week, the lines were fullscreen and took almost 30min to become better. Changing refresh rates down to 120hz or even 60hz helped a bit.

Now that I'm using the monitor to work from home, it's on for plenty of hours a day so the lines in the morning are little no none.

My company bought a whole bunch of Mecer FHD Monitors for our CCTV Control Rooms. On 24/7, minimal power cycling.

Exactly 1 week after the warranty period, one by one, each and every one fails.

Mustek advised that it is a known issue with a capacitor in the power circuit. Out of warranty so we have to courier monitors, from all our sites across ZA and pay repair fees.

Chucked 90+ Mecer monitors in the bin and bought new Dell and Lenovo's. 5 years later and every single Dell and Lenovo is going strong, with zero failures in exactly the same environments as the Mecers. We have now blacklisted Mustek from our vendor list.

I have the same issue with mine. That said, no lines @ 60Hz, and it warms up, so after it's been on for a while I can set it to 144.

It's a hassle, but it's also a 1440p 144Hz Freesync monitor that I think I paid 6K for at the time, so...

That Mecer monitor was decent, I had one for a few years and didn't have problems at all with it. A friend has had it now for over a year now and hasn't reported any problems yet either.

That said, there are definitely better monitors out there for more $$$
