Battery is not at it's best, so it needs to be re conditioned.

ag initially not a lot of stuff. the missus says we don't need anything. I have no faith in eishkom. but the battery recon is a bit of a concern. need to do some calcs online.

Not sure man, but I think about 6-12 hours.

Could be more

It'll take about 2.5 days to recharge from 40%

I speak from experience, that was with a 100Ah battery too, so could be longer

Do you have a similar setup. What inverter do you have and did you connect it yo with a 100ah battery.
Did you charge with 10amp or 20amp. The inverters that I have, got both options.

I just got a RCT 650 KVa UPS and took out the 7Ah battery and connected a 100Ah Strider Deep Cycle battery. From 100% that runs a TV (46") and DSTV for 6 hours before battery hits 40% and the ideal recharge state.

recharge took me 2.5 days, so that the RCT UPS's 1000 KVa and under have a 1 amp charger - so its super slow, checked with a multi-meter and wasn't even a full 1 amp, more like 0.7. 10 or 20 amp would be alot faster.

That tv probably takes about 250w alone and with the dstv makes it about 280w-300w load.
Did you buy the battery brand new?

The battery is not that bad and 150w of stuff should last you at least 3 hours.

Re conditioning the battery will probably cost about R200-R350 max. You will then have a nice setup for your needs.

You welcome to test it at your place if you interested.
