you just create an account? or you have to opt in somewhere?

edit: created an account, logged in, clicked the sign-up for BETA STATUS and it says..

"pending"

Seems like the game was set to move to open Beta, but has been delayed??
Also been waiting for this game. Wow, this has been a busy few months for me and gaming
