Medical aid boss warns about hospital costs in South Africa

Hospital admissions are one of the biggest cost drivers for any private medical scheme which is why the tariffs are often reviewed and negotiated annually. If no agreement is reached, medical aid members will typically bear the brunt of high co-payments.

You know, I can handle household insurance, car insurance, phone insurance, any type of insurance you can think of. Any phone service charges my service pulls out of a hat, any magic charge my ISP can think of. But there is just something about medical aid charges that just does my nut in. I get so irrationally agree when having to call my Medical Aid for anything related to payouts. Don't know if anyone can relate to that.
