There was this movie I watched which name escapes me now. This grown up guy goes to this old man's house who used to molest him as a boy. Old guy starts moaning about 'respecting your elders', but he couldn't even finish his sentence before the guy starts beating him senseless. :p

fantastic :D

My ex brother-in-law is an alcoholic. He used to beat his wife and children senseless. Eventually she divorced him and got a restraining order. In a very sad twist of fate, his only son was fatally wounded in a shooting accident. He learned about this tragedy months after his son was buried. I'm digressing because of the irony card dealt to him by fate or God or what ever a person believes in.

He married again but the second wife is a rather large woman. She does not take any of his sh*t. On one memorable occasion, he arrived home very late and drunk as a skunk. She hit him with a fist and he went flying into a cactus bush. You can imagine the result of his injuries. He had thorns in all kind of strategic and sensitive places on his body. It took hours to remove all the thorns and some could not even be removed. The thorns left behind eventually festered.

He never stopped drinking but he also never lifted a hand to his second wife.

Edit: in this instance no one has any sympathy with this man. His second wife beats him, everyone knows it but nobody cares.

My mother taught me.

If you raise your hands against a man you want to be punched back.

I don't think ( unless he is smaller) you need to use a fist but if that biatch goes crazy on your ass a biatch slap will calm her down.
Is she is bigger, trip her and kick her... Jk.

Same advice to men. If she hits you once it's not going to stop.

Then what is a man going to do ? I would assume they dont strike back not in fear of their partner but in fear of the law

Puzzled by it tbh. I can't really think of a woman in my extended circle that is stronger than my off the top of my head and I'm not gym rat by any stretch. Some are fitter, but not strong in terms of physical fighting.

I've got that deeply ingrained old school "you don't hit women" thing though, so defending myself physically could prove challenging.

tbh the whole thing isn't even on my radar.

Verbal & emotional abuse though - that is potentially an issue. Poorly equipped to deal with those I suspect & much more vulnerable. :/

In the case of DiRobilland, he was on crutches and still recovering from a stroke. She beat him with his own crutches.
Neighbors found him crawling naked on the street and they had to protect him from her. He later died in hospital.

To be fair, she definitely had the upper hand. From what I understand, they lived together for seven years and it was seven years of hell. Some men are meek and would do anything to avoid a physical altercation.

As mentioned by many of the other men here, in terms of the law it seems men are at a disadvantage. Their best alternative is to walk away from an abusive relationship. The problem is when there are children in the equation. I would not dream of leaving my children with a psycho b#tch. A violent woman will probably also be violent towards her kids.
