Mercedes SLK (R172) Advice needed

I based my info off the wikipedia article, so it is very likely I'm wrong. I'm not even 100% sure about the model year of the car I test drove, but it is likely to be a 2008 model. It had the body shape of the model that was released in 2008.

The older version should be the M272 engine and the newer one the M276. The facelift 350 (2011 or 2012 to 2015) has the M276.

That is the info I have as well. It changed in 2011.

That is the info I have as well. It changed in 2011.

Yup, that's exactly what I have in my c350. Plenty kick in that engine.

Do the ones you're looking at all have the Intelligent Light System? I'm not aware if that was standard on the R172.

You don't get a straight V6. It's either a straight 6 or a V6.

We'll there is the VR6... (Not in a Merc obviously)

I think it was/is part of a lighting package of some sorts. Like most of those cars, the extras end up costing more than the base car

I only have 4 main criteria though:

1) has to have less than 50k on the clock
2) has to 2014 model or newer
3) has to have the glass roof
4) full service history and/or Dekra technical inspection done

The rest, I'm pretty flexible on. Its going to be tough to find, I've seen 2 last year that fitted exactly what I wanted, but they were sold so quickly I didn't get a chance. One was in the WC and one in Limpopo - being in DBN also didn't help. Luckily I'm not an impulse buyer, so I don't mind waiting for the right one.

If you went 1 year back to 2013 you'd have more options available, like the one below, but you certainly only need get the exact car you're looking for.

Ooof, what a beaut. Thanks, I might actually do that. It is something I want to get this year, so i'm not in a crazy rush
